Pressflower Studio Japanの押し花アーティスト 川越 多江の新たなる挑戦。

A new challenge for Tae Kawagoe, a pressed flower artist at Pressflower Studio Japan.

2024年の1年間を通して川越多江が挑戦したのは『海外での展示』

その舞台に選んだのは、オーストラリアで開催される「JAPAN EXPOシドニー」でした！

JAPAN EXPOシドニーは、2021年からシドニーで毎年開催されています。

日本の物産、観光、文化などを海外に向けて発信するイベントで、今年は、オンラインと対面でのハイブリッド開催でした。

This event promotes Japanese products, tourism, and culture to overseas audiences, and this year it was held as a hybrid of online and in-person events.

2024年の春から準備を開始し、8月にはオンラインウェビナーに登壇しました！

同時通訳の方を交えて、川越多江が大切にしている押し花への想いや、作品を通して伝えたいことなどをオンラインで発信することができる貴重な機会でした。

With the help of a simultaneous interpreter, it was a valuable opportunity to share online Kawagoe Tae's thoughts about pressed flowers, which she cherishes, and what she wants to convey through her works.

そして対面でのメインイベントが、2024年12月14日にシドニー市庁舎にて開催されました！

残念ながら、川越多江の渡豪は叶いませんでしたので、当日も現地スタッフと連携しながら展示準備し、イベントスタート！

Unfortunately, Kawagoe Tae's trip to Australia was not realized, so on the day of the event we worked closely with local staff to prepare the exhibition and get the event started!

たった1日、6時間だけのイベントですが、オーストラリアでの日本人気は高く、来場者の方の熱量もアツかったです！

The event was only one day and six hours long, but Japan is very popular in Australia and the visitors were very enthusiastic!

現地スタッフも休憩を取る暇がないほど、ブースへの来場者が絶えなかったとのこと。

There was such a constant stream of visitors to the booth that the local staff had no time to take a break.

ブースを訪問してくださった方々の素敵な笑顔が、海外展示の不安をすべて吹き飛ばしてくれました！

The wonderful smiles of the people who visited our booth blew away all of our worries about exhibiting overseas!

『サンタクジラ／Santa Whale』

「クリスマスパーティーでダンスでもしているのかしら？」

フレームから飛び出てきそうな躍動感のある作品になりました。

『ツル／Crane』

日本を感じていただけるモチーフを押し花アートで表現しました。

We have expressed motifs that will give you a taste of Japan through pressed flower art.

始まってみれば6時間はあっという間で、イベントは無事に終了しました。

Once it started, the six hours flew by and the event ended successfully.

「挑戦して良かった！」と心から思える海外展示でした。

海外展示を通して得た大きな自信とこれからの課題を胸に、川越多江は挑戦を続けてまいります。

Kawagoe Tae will continue to take on challenges with the great confidence she has gained through her overseas exhibition and with an eye toward the challenges that lie ahead.
