日本の祭り「青森ねぶた」を彩る、廃棄コスメを使ったアップサイクルプロジェクトをご存知でしょうか？

Do you know about the upcycling project that uses discarded cosmetics to decorate the Japanese festival "Aomori Nebuta"?  

化粧品メーカーでは、生産工程や出荷期限切れなどで、どうしても大量の廃棄化粧品が生まれてしまいます。

Cosmetics manufacturers generate a large amount of discarded cosmetics during the production process and after the shipping deadline.

2023年、この廃棄コスメを使って、材料費の高騰が問題となりつつある「ねぶた」の彩色に使用するプロジェクトが開始されました。

このプロジェクトは、青森山田のねぶたを手がけている塚本利佳氏、総合プロデューサーの横野心一氏、「絵具、インキ」などの多用途色材へアップサイクルする事業を進めてきた株式会社モーンガータにより開始されました。

This project is being carried out by Rika Tsukamoto, who works on Aomori Yamada's Nebuta, general producer Shinichi Yokono, and MANGATA Co., Ltd., which has been promoting the upcycling of multi-purpose color materials.

2024年には、更に「青森ねぶた」に貼られていた和紙を、自然の押し花と組み合わせた新しいアート作品に生まれ変わらせるプロジェクトが加わりました。

この押し花アートの制作者として、花のはかなさと生命力を活かし、祭りの一部であった和紙に新たな物語を紡いでいます。

As the creator of this pressed flower art, I take advantage of the transience and vitality of flowers and weave a new story into the Japanese paper that was part of the festival.

このアップサイクルの取り組みは、単なる素材の再利用にとどまらず、

自然と人間の営みの歴史を 「持続可能な美しいアート 」として表現することを目指しています。

This upcycling initiative goes beyond simply reusing materials; it aims to express the history of nature and human activity as "beautiful sustainable art."
